This is one of those drinks I like to make when I want something that feels a little fancy but is still really easy to put together. The combination of blueberries and lavender gives it a soft floral sweetness, and when it’s served ice-cold, it becomes incredibly refreshing.
I usually make this in the afternoon or early evening, especially on warm days when I want something more interesting than plain iced tea. It’s light, calming, and honestly just really pleasant to sip slowly.
Ingredients (serves 2–3):
- 2 cups water
- 1 tbsp dried culinary lavender (or 2 lavender tea bags)
- 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1–2 tbsp honey or agave (adjust to taste)
- Juice of 1/2 lemon (optional, for brightness)
- Ice cubes
- Blueberries and lavender sprigs or lemon slices, for garnish
Instructions:
- Brew the Tea:
Bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat, add lavender and blueberries. Cover and steep for 10–15 minutes. - Strain & Sweeten:
Strain out the lavender and berries. Stir in honey/agave and lemon juice while still warm. - Chill:
Let cool, then refrigerate until cold (about 30–60 minutes). - Serve:
Fill glasses with ice. Pour the chilled blueberry lavender tea over the ice. - Garnish & Enjoy:
Garnish with a few blueberries, a lemon slice, or a small lavender sprig.
What I really enjoy about this mocktail is how balanced it is. The blueberries add a natural sweetness, while the lavender gives it that subtle floral note that makes it feel special without being overpowering.
Sometimes I’ll adjust it depending on my mood — a little more lemon if I want it brighter, or more blueberry if I want it sweeter. It’s flexible like that, which makes it one of those recipes I don’t have to think too hard about.

When you start making it, the kitchen fills with a soft fruity aroma as the blueberries release their color and flavor. If you’re using dried lavender, just a small amount goes a long way — it’s one of those ingredients you don’t want to overdo.
Once everything is chilled and poured over ice, the drink takes on a beautiful deep color that already feels refreshing before the first sip.

I like serving this in a tall glass with a few extra blueberries and maybe a sprig of mint or lavender on top. It’s simple, but it always looks beautiful without much effort.
This is the kind of drink I come back to when I want something calming, refreshing, and just a little different from the usual iced tea.
