Ingredients (serves 2):

  • 1 ripe peach, peeled and sliced (or 1/2 cup peach puree)
  • 1 small slice of fresh jalapeรฑo (more if you like it hot)
  • 3 oz tequila (blanco or reposado)
  • 1 oz triple sec or orange liqueur
  • 1ยฝ oz fresh lime juice (about 1 large lime)
  • 1โ€“2 tsp agave syrup or honey (to taste)
  • Ice cubes
  • Tajรญn or salt, for rimming
  • Peach slices, jalapeรฑo rounds, or lime wedges for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Muddle:
    In a shaker, muddle the peach slices and jalapeรฑo together until juicy.
  2. Shake:
    Add tequila, triple sec, lime juice, agave, and ice. Shake well for 15โ€“20 seconds.
  3. Rim the Glasses (optional):
    Rub a lime wedge around the rim and dip in Tajรญn or salt.
  4. Strain & Serve:
    Fill two glasses with fresh ice. Strain the margarita into the glasses.
  5. Garnish:
    Add a peach slice, jalapeรฑo ring, or lime wedge for flair.

  • For a frozen version, blend all ingredients with a cup of ice.
  • Want it extra smoky? Use mezcal instead of tequila.
