🍍 Chili Pineapple Agua Fresca (Mocktail)

Ingredients (serves 2–3):

  • 2 cups fresh pineapple chunks
  • 1½ cups cold water
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1–2 tsp maple syrup or honey (optional)
  • 1/8 tsp chili powder (like cayenne or ancho)
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Tajín or chili salt, for rimming the glasses (optional)
  • Ice cubes
  • Pineapple wedges or lime slices, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Blend the Base:
    In a blender, combine pineapple, cold water, lime juice, sweetener (if using), chili powder, and salt. Blend until smooth.
  2. Strain (optional):
    For a smoother drink, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher.
  3. Rim the Glasses (optional):
    Rub a lime wedge around the rim of each glass and dip in Tajín or chili salt.
  4. Serve:
    Fill glasses with ice, pour in the pineapple mixture, and stir lightly.
  5. Garnish:
    Add a pineapple wedge or lime slice. Serve immediately and enjoy that sweet heat!

🔥 Extra Tip: If you like more spice, add a thin slice of jalapeño to the blender or muddle it into the glass before serving.
