Ingredients (serves 2–3):
- 2 cups fresh pineapple chunks
- 1½ cups cold water
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1–2 tsp maple syrup or honey (optional)
- 1/8 tsp chili powder (like cayenne or ancho)
- Pinch of sea salt
- Tajín or chili salt, for rimming the glasses (optional)
- Ice cubes
- Pineapple wedges or lime slices, for garnish
Instructions:
- Blend the Base:
In a blender, combine pineapple, cold water, lime juice, sweetener (if using), chili powder, and salt. Blend until smooth. - Strain (optional):
For a smoother drink, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher. - Rim the Glasses (optional):
Rub a lime wedge around the rim of each glass and dip in Tajín or chili salt. - Serve:
Fill glasses with ice, pour in the pineapple mixture, and stir lightly. - Garnish:
Add a pineapple wedge or lime slice. Serve immediately and enjoy that sweet heat!
